 Captain David Payakovich was born in Trenton NJ and relocated to the Florida Keys at the age of 15. Already having a deep appreciation and passion for fishing (which started around the age of 4) he quickly immersed himself in the many different facets of the industry. " I was very fortunate to grow up in an environment so rich in resources...I was like a sponge, absorbing techniques from everyone and everything around me."
From flats fishing to deep dropping, kite fishing for sailfish to reef fishing for snapper and grouper, from the canyons offshore of NJ to the shallows of the San Jose lagoon in Puerto Rico, Captain David has developed a well rounded bank of knowledge for numerous types of fishing.Now at the completion of his second tarpon season here in Puerto Rico, David recorded 40 fish caught in the 50 to 75 lb range, 15 of which were over 75lbs.
Additionally, there were hundreds in the 20-30 lb range.
