The silver king fishing in PR is good enough for longtime guide Capt. Omar Orraca (Fishing in Puerto Rico) to guarantee at least a shot at tarpon every trip, all year (he claims 92 consecutive trips landing at least one tarpon).

What a great feeling! Omar made my son feel like he was the “King of Tarpon”. For about 20 minutes, the fish and my son fought a great battle all the while our Captain was by his side, coaching and pumping him up like he was a prize fighter. Who would have thought my 75lb, 11yr old son would have landed a 50in, 52.6lb Tarpon. And the icing on the cake, I caught one too! And wouldn’t you know it, my son made sure he let me and the Captain know his 50 pounder was bigger than my 30 pounder. LOL

I’ve been out 5 times with Capt. Omar and he is by far the best guide I’ve been with. He is certainly the most educated guy I’ve been on a boat with when it comes to the lagoon. He knows the tide, the bait, and time to be there to give you the best chance to catch a monster. If you didn’t catch fish with Omar, then there were no fish.!
